Cheyenne
by Picabo Brooks
In
Memory of Cheyenne Arie Braxton
I talked to you even though I knew you couldn't
understand
I comforted myself with the thought of my baby girl
When I felt lonely, I knew you were there and loved
me.
You only felt your father's touch a little yet you
knew his love.
But now you are gone without a goodbye
I never saw you but that didn't stop the pain
I cried until I couldn't cry another tear.
I know you are in a better place than this horrid,
ugly world
Yet, sometimes, I selfishly wish you were here with
me.
My beautiful angel, I love you.
